Good Old-fashioned Lover Boy

New goal! Actually submit to Illustration Friday more than 1 day before the deadline...
So! Here is my take on this weeks topic (a full 5 days sooner than usual): Old fashioned.

Besides giving me an intense craving to listen to my Queen vinyl,  the topic reminded me of things you'd find buried in an old jewelry box or decorating a vanity...dainty and delicate and dear...like lockets and doilies.

In an effort to update more, I'm going to start posting sketches from my non-Italy sketchbook.

I have recently become obsessed with Florence and the Machine's song "Drumming," and their video for it. After spending a few hours in the office waiting and waiting and listening to the song on repeat via youtube, this little sketch occured....

to start rhyming up a storm!
It is time to start creating another little children's story. I'm still in the process of writing and rhyming but, in the meantime, have decided on what my newest little one will look like. It's also high time I got back into participating for Illustration Friday. So....meet Sunny and after is my Illustration Friday interpretation for the week.
