Etsy Swap | Spring Fever

A month or so ago I came across the very awesome creation called an Etsy Swap! I'm sure there are many different variations of this but this was the first one I'd come across. An Etsy Swap is when you get paired up with a partner and subtly stalk them via their Instagram/Etsy favorites/blog and more to find out more about them. Then, you buy them some goodies via Etsy, package them up all snazzy and send them to your partner! Meanwhile, someone is doing the same thing for you. Pretty awesome, right?

Lucky for me, I got paired with some pretty awesome ladies! The lovely Amy of Taking Steps Home (and one of the hosts behind this Etsy Swap!) had to secretly stalk me and find some goodies to send my way. I was completely blown away by her package! So sweet and perfect for me...

Amy got me the most amazing smelling set of votive candles! The white jasmine tuberose is my absolute favorite scent! She also found me the cutest little black and gold clutch, perfect for my giant bags in need of some organization. And she got me my llama! I fell in love this love llama by Deidre Wicks in her Etsy shop Water In My Paint and Amy sent one my way. So...Amy is pretty much the best! He looks rather perfect on my growing wall of art and prints.

I was partnered with Paulina over at Color Me Brave. She's a pretty inspiring lady. It was so fun reading through her blog and researching for some surprises she might like! Luckily, I had her list of Etsy favorites to go by. For Paulina, I found a Sequin Initial "P" print from Pearls & Pastries and a Leather Layering Bracelet from A Lil Bit Fancy. So fun to have an excuse to do some Etsy shopping! I also added some postcards, a notebook and made Paulina a little watercolor of a bird that she uses in her blog theme. I hope Paulina liked her goodies!

Thank you so much Amy for sending me such lovely gifts! And also thank you to Amy and Megan at Rivers and Roads... for hosting such a fun swap! I can't wait to participate in the next one. Edit: If you'd like to see what everyone sent to their partners, you can check out the link-up right here

  9. Hey Chelsea,
This is a really interesting concept -- honestly the first time I'd heard of it. I'm with an organization called GlobeIn working to support artisans around the world (see www.globein.com ). I love this notion of buying/shopping in a thoughtful way for someone else. Perhaps we can apply it.

More importantly, if you could help us reach out to your community to help spread the word about our mission, I'd love to send you some more information. You can email me directly at pete@globein.com

    Thanks so much!!!
    Sincerely,

    Pete
