sketches as of late & business time!

Slow week of blogging but better on the art making! Got a bit of sketching and watercoloring done this week, including this large one. It was a great way to kill some time at work, just slowly adding bits to it haphazardly throughout the day...

I really like some of the individual designs but all of them together are pretty fun.

Also spent some quality time with my fountain pen! It's been quite a while since I put my old Italian one to use. And made something in my mini sketchbooks for that matter...

I've got both tattoo designing and art nouveau on my mind lately...

AND! Got down to business! I finally got the printer to do my bidding (after much swearing and reformatting and re-cutting different watercolor papers) and print out some business cards! Then with a touch of watercolor they are complete! And I am so giddy!

I got the idea from Pinterest, but used watercolors instead of inks to dye them. Just grabbed the stack, soaked them in water for a bit, then, when they were still stacked together, started dripping watercolors across the top edge. I'm going to experiment with these some more and different colors but so far I'm really happy with the results!

Now with my luck, I won't run into anyone to actually network with and give them to! che palle....
