bits & pieces... amare e vivere...

I'll never be tired of sketching this tower...
I'm running out of pages in Terzo, and also time in Italy. I always hate this point in any trip or vacation. That time when you start having to figure out how in the hell you are going to fit everything into the suitcase, how you can squeeze in one more trip to that restaurant/bar/town, how you can see everyone for one last hug. Ugh. I hate it. This trip has been more than I ever anticipated and completely different from any other venture I've made over here before.

On a side note, I hit over 100 likers on my facebook page! Eek! As I mentioned over there, I'm contemplating doing a giveaway to celebrate it. Possibly a watercolored postcard...anybody interested??

I will do my best to post another Terzo update before the departure next week but this weekend is going to be another whirlwind! Tonight is my last night in Lucca and tomorrow I head back to Castiglion for the final weekend. Che palle. Then if I don't get stuck in Russia again (or more likely, at LAX customs...) I'll be back in CA for Thanksgiving for the first time in 6 years. Oi vey. Here's some instacrack from the past week of being MIA... lots of stormy weather, some adventures to some tiny Tuscan towns and an adventure through Castiglion when the lights went out all over town.

We lost the power in Castiglion Fiorentino Sunday night from 930-2 am. So naturally a few of us wandered through the pitch black town to sketch and document the darkness.
View of the Val di Chio and Castiglion Fiorentino in the distance from the teeny town Petreto.
Another tiny Val di Chio town, Gaggioletto.
Day trip to Cortona

    1. I'll try to get my act together with the postcards! I would hold it here on my blog probably instead of facebook. I'm enjoying every minute as much as I can!
