painting a nursery...

2013 is shaping up to be a very busy year. Lately I've been here, there, back there and here again...lots of driving down to LA, showing a couple friends visiting from Chicago around the valley and some art projects as well. Including painting a nursery! Another new painting commission I can add to the list of first time painting projects...

The nursery is for my cousin and his wife's son, Alexander. They wanted a big tree in the corner of the room, with branches that could potentially be incorporated into shelves. We may still paint his name on the wall but the tree and the little inhabitants are all done! Even a little friend of Lumen made an appearance...

Somehow the yellow walls look different in every photo but either way I am really happy with how the tree ended up. I especially love all the leaves! They may have taken a while but I still love them...

    1. Thanks Sunae! It's a neat idea with the shelves, I hope they do it. It will be cute to see books just hanging out on the branches...
